The Valuation Firm Proprietary Limited (the Company) is registered as a B-BBEE LEVEL 1 contributor. The company at present specialises in Commercial, Industrial and Retail Property Valuations.
The Directors are committed to establishing The Valuation Firm as the valuation firm of choice. Not only to the Financial Services Sector but also to Private Individuals and Listed Companies alike.
Frik Botha is the Managing Director of the Company. He is registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Valuer under Registration Number 5007/6. Frik is also a Member of the South African Institute of Valuers. He is dedicated to training Candidate Valuers. This is to ensure that valuers with strong work ethics and integrity are added to the valuation fraternity. Candidate Valuers are periodically employed with the sole purpose of equipping them with the necessary skills to eventually start their own businesses.
Integrity is a trademark of the way in which the Company conducts business. Although the Company is small it is aligned with other valuation professionals throughout South Africa that value the same ethics and professional standards.
Where we work
We are located in Johannesburg, but our area of expertise includes commercial property valuations in the provinces of Gauteng (including the Vaal Triangle), Mpumalanga, Limpopo and the Northwest Province.
Despite this, The Valuation Firm is able to conduct Commercial Property Valuations on a National basis through partnership with a network of smaller Valuation Companies that specialise in specific geographical regions.
Our valuations comply with International Valuation Standards and we have Professional Indemnity Cover.
Meet the team
Frik Botha
Managing Director
Frik Botha is a Professional Associated Property Valuer working in the property valuation industry since 1996. He completed his National Diploma in Real Estate (Property Valuations) in 2003 and registered as a Professional Associated Valuer (without restrictions) since 2004. He is a member of the South African Institute of Valuers since 2006.
His work experience in the property valuations area began with Absa Bank in the Residential Property Valuation Centre in Randburg, JHB. He then moved to the Commercial Property Valuations Department as a Valuer and from there into a Quality Control role.
Progressing to Regional Manager followed by National Manager of Valuations for Absa Commercial Property Finance. He finalized his tenure at Absa Bank as National Manager Property Risk.
Frik moved on to employment at a private Property Valuation Company in 2009. He started his own Valuation Company in 2015. This valuation company was then more recently incorporated into The Valuation Firm.
Estellanie Kossen
Professional Associated Valuer
Estellanie Kossen is a Professional Associated Property Valuer and has worked in the property valuation industry since 2005. She completed her National Diploma in Real Estate (Property Valuations) in 2009 and is registered as a Professional Associated Valuer (without restrictions) since 2011. She is also a member of the South African Institute of Valuers since 2011.
Her work experience in the property valuations area began with a private property valuation company in 2005. She then started as a freelance valuer for private property valuation companies in 2011.
Estellanie moved on to employment at The Valuation Firm in 2019.
